Back in September of 2019, London-based band The Big Moon released "Your Light", the first single for their upcoming 2020 album Walking Like We Do. The single is an infectiously constructed pop song with overlapping layers, harmonies, and shifts. I probably watched the video, as goofy as it is, about 100 times. The song just put a smile on my face. It was upbeat, happy and had me really looking forward to 2020....
WHOOPS.
If these top 50 albums seem a bit dark, well, it's been a dark year and these seemed to stick with me more than normal. For the record, Walking Like We Do is good, but missed my top 50 and probably still would have even if 2020 wasn't the shitshow that it was.
